INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Select an equation type: volume, green weight, or board-ft volume. NOTE: board-ft volume
requires top diameters >=7 in. for softwoods and >=9 in. for hardwoods.
2.
Select a FIA region: West, West Central, Central, Plateau, or East.
Counties included in each region can be examined by clicking on the
'Region' link.
3.
Select a species by scrolling in the dropdown list. Conifers species
are listed first, followed by Hard Hardwoods and Soft Hardwoods. Note:
After scrolling to the desired species, click inside the dropdown list
to actually select it.
4.
Enter dbh and top diameter. Top diameter
must be less than or equal to dbh.
5.
Click the Compute Volume button.
